4 Banks Offering Loans to Applicants of Skim Rumah Mesra Rakyat (RMR)

The Skim Rumah Mesra Rakyat (RMR) applicants of the National Housing Company Limited (NHC) can make mortgage loans through four financial institutions, namely commercial banks, CIMB Islamic Bank, Maybank and Bank Rakyat beginning this year. Chairman Datuk Idris Haron said the process different scheme applications when conditions are determined by the NHC loan applications and financial institutions that applied.

Idris said the NHC still use IBS to maintain an area of 1,000 square feet with three rooms and two bathrooms. "Conditions of approval is that applicant must own the land, no dependents and income must not exceed RM3,000," he said. 
He said this year NHC will build 11,800 RMR which will begin in Tambun. "Applicant housing schemes amounted to 34.678 last year. Perak is one of the highest (construction RMR) of 1,959 housing units completed in 2002, which was built in the 26 parliamentary constituencies of the state," he said.

The upcoming social housing project known as “Projeck Rumah Mesra Rakyat” will be allocated with a budget of RM100 million. State Housing Company Limited (NHC) will build 11,030 units of Rumah Mesra Rakyat (RMR) involving RM717 million investment this year.
